The annual JRP seminar is Canada’s leading industry show for aftermarket specialists, speed shops, builders and racers. This year was no exception as over 30 of the world’s best manufacturers came to showcase the newest offerings from induction products, wheels, suspensions and even car care. With temperatures diving to -20 degrees Celsius, our Canadian dealers showed once again that the cold could not deter them from their passion for everything race car. With a packed convention center full of so much talent the excitement in the air was palpable as some of us overheard of coming builds boasting some very high power figures and certain builders speaking about some very innovative projects. This event truly brings out the best of the best; shops from Vancouver and race teams from New Brunswick came out to learn about new products and took advantage of unique seminar discounts.
Every year we launch the event on Friday evening at the Social Night. This year’s Social Night was made possible by BBS, Vibrant Performance as well as Tial Sport. This is a perfect opportunity for industry experts to chat with JRP staff and the biggest speed shops, racers and builders in the business. Networking is a huge part of JRP’s success and we recognize how important it is for our customers and manufacturers to come together in hopes of sparking collaboration within the industry.
The event kicked off early morning February 2nd as shops trickled into the convention center, many clenching their Tim Hortons coffees. This year was different as for the first time JRP dealers and customers had access to training sessions to help them boost sales of product or get trained on cutting edge new brands like HPtuners, who offered PCM tuning sessions introducing customers to the VCM suite software.
Once noon came around a brief intermission allowed everyone to grab a bite to eat in the dining area as our GM Steve Stavrianos spoke about the event and the future of the industry. Prizes were also given away by manufacturers that attended with McLeod Racing offering a NASCAR Experience giveaway and JRP offering a free Vacation Getaway. As the day wounded down each customer went their own way and manufacturers packed their goods. The JRP seminar came to a close as the staff and manufacturers came together one last time sharing experiences and ideas from the show with the hopes of doing it all over again the next year.
